Jillian Leedy is an M.Arch I student at the Southern California Institute of Architecture, specializing in architectural anti-violence, impermanence, and organic growth. She previously taught Media Arts at The Flushing International High School, worked with Public Color on youth-development initiatives, and explored power dynamics, identity, and the body in student-teacher relationships for her thesis, "Engaging Power, Performativity, and Corporeality: Amid Memories from the Classroom."
Jillian's diverse background includes work as a graphic designer, sign painter, and muralist. She also served as an artist assistant and grant writer for Suikang Zhao, contributing to architecturally-scaled, public works that examine cultural phenomena through text, imagery, and form. She holds an MS in Art + Design Education from Pratt Institute and a BFA in Illustration from the Fashion Institute of Technology.
